Whether a parent uses a disposable diaper or cloth diaper there comes a time when a baby needs to be potty trained. It is a great time for a mom when diaper bags are no longer in use. Toilet training a child is actually an easy process. It takes a lot of commitment on the part of the parent.

A baby is never“ready” to start potty training. The best time to start training is when the child is between eighteen months and two years.

The biggest key to potty training is persistence. Until the child is trained, parent and baby are stuck at home near a toilet.

It is important to take the baby to the toilet at least every fifteen minutes. This will get baby comfortable with it and give him many times to use the toilet.

Put the baby on the potty, while the baby sits there he can read a book or the adult training him can entertain him. Once he uses the toilet, make a very big deal of it. Clap and cheer for him. After he has used the potty a few times, he will figure out what is wanted of him.

Rewarding the male children is the best way to go. Anything like army toys kids will go down well with them or if they’re not so into action buy them new boys cot bed bedding and they will be highly motivated.

The main key to success in potty training is not to stop. The baby will have accidents. When he does, just let him know that he is not suppose to go in his pants any longer and put him on the toilet. In no time the baby will start telling his parent when he needs to use the potty.

Whether a baby wears a cloth diaper or disposable it is nice for parents to be done with diaper bags and the baby to be trained to use the adult toilet. Learning to use the adult toilet is a huge accomplishment for a child.
